May; Dad's month!
It's the second day of Golden Week holidays.
Visited Etajima Island where my Dad's from for the third time since last weekend!
Met a gentleman who kindly bought me a cap from JMSDF the 1st Service School two years ago. One of the most famous & fastest trail runners, Kenichi Hirayama san found me in the cap & complimented "What a nice cap you wear!", while running (or walking!?) on the Jupiter Cod in March as I had a cramp in the calf being so exhausted that I was about to give up the race ... So I really wanted to express my gratitude to the gentleman for the cap from the school.
Thanks to many people cheering & supporting me I could make it for the race then as a result, but after driving home all of my body was SORE! I had no confidence as my business prevented me from practice running...though my office is just next to Mt. Ushitayama, which is also one of my favorites... Imagine...how many times I cried out, "Let me GO trail running, please!!!!!"
The pain faded away gradually, at the same time Kenichi Hirayama san & I met again on Facebook. At last we have become friends. Thanks! So happy!
It's quite nice timing for me to meet him as I visit Etajima Island for my Dad's graveyard as often as I can for his memorial month, May, where Hirayama san also works temporarily by the middle of June.
How quickly we have made decisions & plans! We went on a hiking last weekend, and made some other plans for May.
Luckily my girlfriend from middle & high school has had some extra tickets for the ballgame, Carp, so I've received two tickets & invited him to the game.
My Dad's crazy for Carp! He'd be hyper if Carp wins when we go to the stadium! GO! GO! Carp!
Everything I do would be something nice for my Dad for a while... maybe by Father's Day!?
